What we handle
- Technical data — IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser user agent, pages requested and time of request, as kept in standard server logs.
- Form data — what you type in the contact form. The form opens your own email program; we receive the details only if you send that email.
- Your cookie choice — stored in your browser.
Why we use it
- Keeping pages online and protecting them from abuse (necessary).
- Analytics, only if you opt in: counting which sections readers use.
- Marketing and affiliate attribution, only with consent: letting partners record that a booking came from a link here.
- To answer your messages.
Who receives it
Hosting providers; affiliate networks and booking partners when you follow an affiliate link and have consented; professional advisers and authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Server logs: up to 90 days. Emails you send us: up to 24 months, then deleted unless needed for a legal claim. The consent record sits in your own browser and goes when you wipe this site’s data.
Your rights
GDPR (EEA and UK): access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent; you may complain to your local supervisory authority. Our lawful bases are legitimate interests for running the site and consent for analytics and advertising.
CCPA (California): the right to know, delete and correct, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell), and not to be discriminated against for using these rights.
Australia: the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies, and we follow its Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Ask us for access or correction at any time; should our answer not satisfy you, take the matter to the OAIC (Office of the Australian Information Commissioner).

Providers may process data outside your country. Where this happens we rely on contractual safeguards.
